Mavrik Innovations, a South Wales based company, specialise in the repair, refurbishment and creation of bespoke Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery. Through the Welsh Government’s SMART Productivity & Design programme, Mavrik partnered with ITERATE to gain assistance in designing a bespoke enclosure, that packages electrical components fit to control numerous CNC machines. The company, who had already started the design process themselves, requested an aesthetically pleasing, creatively finished software panel with a screen as well as options for keyboard mounting system. After vigorous desktop research, sketching and prototyping, the outcome was an initial 3D CAD model. This allowed the company to present the design concept to potential customers and gauge the market opportunity.
