1 - Foresight

2 - Concept
Explore different solutions before choosing a direction.
We develop a range of ideas around your brief and present them through sketches for discussion and feedback. Where useful, we build simple prototypes to test form, interaction or function before committing to the next stage.
3 - Development
Turn the chosen concept into a design you can evaluate.
We bring together feedback from the concept stage and develop the product’s form, features and technical architecture in 3D CAD. Early prototypes help us check key dimensions, interactions and design decisions before moving into detailed engineering.
4 - Detail
Define the product’s materials, components and assembly.
We refine the 3D CAD, specify materials and finishes, and develop the mechanical details around the intended manufacturing process. Where the product includes electronics, we consider their integration alongside the physical design. Targeted prototypes help us assess function, appearance and fit before the design moves forward.
5 - Optimise
Prepare the design for manufacture.
We refine the 3D CAD for the chosen manufacturing processes and define critical features in engineering drawings. We source standard components and complete the bill of materials. A final prototype brings together the product’s form, function and appearance, helping us check that manufacturing changes have preserved the intended design.
6 - Verify
Check the product against its requirements.
We help plan and document the testing needed to assess performance, safety and applicable regulatory requirements. Where independent testing is required, we coordinate with specialist test houses and support the preparation of technical documentation for the relevant conformity assessment. Our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified processes support this work, particularly for medical devices.
7 - Handover
Take your product from approved design into manufacture.
We work with manufacturing partners in the UK and Asia to source parts and support production. Our network covers injection moulding, casting, machining, sheet metal fabrication, finishing and assembly. We coordinate with suppliers on technical details and quality checks to help the manufactured product meet the approved design.
